what do you love about your state?

I had to chisel my car out of ice this morning.

This is especially fun when the driveway also has a layer of ice on it and I'm wearing heels and slacks for work.

These pictures were taken last week, not this morning.  The Man went out and shoveled and unburied my car for me.  That's true love.

I think when it's close enough to be thinking about Easter dresses and dying eggs that we should have tulips blooming, not snow falling.  Though I guess in Utah you get to have both.

{last year about in MAY}

I make myself feel better by telling myself that there are Medicaid Fraud Control Units in all 50 states so I could reasonably apply for a job with any of them now that I have experience with it.  Reason #57 of why I like my job.

There are a few states that I want to find out about.  The pros and cons of living in them, and mostly how the weather is, what are the downsides of the weather etc.  Like how Utah has snow 9 months out of 12.  I often ask myself, blizzard or hurricane?

Hurricane.

Of course, I say that with out ever having been in one.

Maybe I should return to my 4th grade roots and do state reports.
Georgia
South Carolina
North Carolina
Louisiana
Alabama
Mississippi
Texas
Arizona

See a trend here?  I want south east.
I'd be okay with Arizona though.  I can handle 9 months a reasonable temps and 3 of blistering hot.  It just doesn't have ocean front.

And California, I have fun cousins there.  It's just the ocean is cold on that side of the US.

I wish I knew more people who have lived in these states so I could get a better feel for how it is to actually be there.

Anyone out there know someone who can help me?  I'd love to know.  What do you love about the state you live in?  What don't you love?

not sure what I'd do finally seeing snow like that...here in Texas, we may get 1 in every couple of years. what i love about our state, or where we are in the state of Texas is that we're close to water, surrounded by the Gulf and something so soothing about all that water, although it's not crystal blue like we'd prefer!! ha! what i don't love...the humidity. it's 80's and STICKY here right now, so that's def not a great feeling!!
